Lionel accessories from the post-war era, between 1945 and 1970, are some of the most sought after items in the vintage electric train market. While some were constructed of painted tinplate (those that were carried over from the pre-war era) most were primarily made of Bakelite and plastic and sized principally for O-gauge trains.
