The Lionel Classic Layouts consist of 13 track plans, fully developed, detailing famous Lionel layouts of the past. These include the 1938, 1949, 1957, and 1992 Lionel Showroom layouts, two Lionel Magazine contest winners from the 1950s, an attic layout from Model Builder magazine circa 1950, the 1947 Ideal layout, as well as the Lionel 1957 Dealers display layout featuring Super-O track.Lnl-1949-2D-sml

All of these, with the exception of the 1938 Showroom layout which used T-Rail, are executed using Lionel Regular O track. The 1938 layout has been executed using GarGraves O track and only O-72 series curves. Several of these classic designs have been replicated in other track systems, such as Lionel's new FasTrack.

You can purchase the Lionel Classic Layouts from R & S Enterprises for $29. They come on a CD complete with an explanatory help file and an installer designed to interface with RR-Track v4.02. A copy of RR-Viewerv4.1 is included on the CD with viewer libraries that display all of the Lionel Classic Layouts (these libraries are not compatible with RR-Track v4.x). RR-Viewer v4.1 allows the user to display in both 2D and 3D any of these layouts, study their component list, and print them (changing them with RR-VIewer is not supported).
In order to view and edit these layouts with RR-Track v4 you must have the Lionel Regular O track library, the Lionel FasTrack O track library, the GarGraves O track library, the Lionel Prewar Accessory library, the Lionel Postwar Accessory library, the Lionel Modern Accessory library, and the Miscellaneous O-scale accessory library
